Subleasing Procedure

• Find someone who wants to sublet your apartment.
• Inform Prestige of your desire to sublet and get the necessary approval.
• Have prospective subtenant submit Rental Application through Prestige’s website and Parent Co-Sign Form (if not working full time).
• Prestige will process Rental Application and if the subtenant is approved, the tenant can download and sign Sublease Agreement with the subtenant.
  • If there are other tenants in the same unit, all other tenants must sign on the same Sublease Agreement.
• Tenant is still responsible for payment of rent if the subtenant does not pay – make sure you have a responsible subtenant!!
• The security deposit will be returned to the original tenant at the end of the lease.
• Prestige will find a subtenant for you if you send us a written request by turning in request for sublease assistance. It is a paid service.
