1. Qualification Process
- Rental Application – required of each tenant
- A copy of photo ID – required, will be submitted in the application
- Co-Sign Form – required for all undergraduate students
- Application Validation – may take up to 24 hours
2. Financial Leasing Requirements
- Security Deposit – equal to one month’s rent, to be paid at the time lease signing
- First month’s rent – to be paid by August 1
3. Tenant Signature on Required Forms
- Lease – 1 signature and 7 initials required of each tenant
- Parking Lease – if required
- Lead-Based Paint Disclosure – 1 signature and 2 initials required of each tenant
- City of Iowa City Information Disclosure – 1 signature required of each tenant
- Copy of City of Iowa City Information Disclosure in Chinese
4. Documents Provided to Tenant at Signing
- Copy of Lease
- Copy of Lead-based Paint Disclosure Form
- E-Pamphlet of Lead-based Paint Information
- Copy of City of Iowa City Information Disclosure
- Copy of Parking Lease and Parking Rules – if applicable
5. Move In Instructions
- Read Welcome Letter and Recycling Program
- Read Move In Instruction Flyer
- Check in – August 1st, 12:00pm – 5:00pm (unless otherwise specified) at 401 S. Gilbert Street, Iowa City, IA 52240

- Sign the Key Form – Pick up keys, mailbox label and parking sticker (if applicable)
- Fill out in your Check In Inspection Form via your Tenant Web Access (TWA) portal – to be completed in 3 days
- A Renewal Notice will be printed inside move in folder, decision required by October 3rd.
6. Move Out Instructions
- Read Move Out Letter
- Check out – July 22th or 24th by 12:00pm (please refer to the lease)

- Leave forwarding address of security holder ONLY
- Make sure your unit is clean and no damages – Cleaning Checklist
- Return keys and sign return form
- Move Out Check completed by Prestige Properties LLC.
7. Security Deposit Return – Mailed 30 days after lease end
