Subleasing Procedure

  1. Inform Prestige Properties of your desire to sublet and get the necessary approval.
    • If you’d like help finding a subtenant, just send us a written request using the Request for Sublease Assistance form. Prestige Properties offers this as a paid service.
  2. We will advertise on the company website. You will be responsible for posting on any social media or other marketing platforms.
  3. Once a prospective subtenant is found, they will need to submit a Rental Application through the Prestige Properties’ website and Parent Co-Sign Form (required for undergraduate students).
  4. We will process the rental application and if the subtenant is approved, both the tenant and subtenant will sign the Sublease Agreement through the TWA portal.
    • If there are other tenants in the same unit, they all must also sign the agreement.
  5. Tenant is still responsible for payment of rent if the subtenant does not pay – make sure to choose a responsible subtenant!
  6. The security deposit will be returned to the original tenant 30 days after the end of the lease.
    • Subtenants are not obligated to pay an additional security deposit unless you, as the original tenant, choose to require it.
